Social Blade Review: Free Is the Tier Most People Need
Social Blade has been publishing YouTube stats since 2008, which makes it the closest thing this industry has to a public record. After going through all four paid tiers, the honest finding is that the cheapest one barely changes what you can see.
The short answer
Social Blade at a glance
- •Free: 5 favorites, top 100 lists, 30 days of table data. Enough for most people.
- •Bronze: $59.99/yr, shown as $5.00/mo. Removes ads. Same 30-day data cap.
- •Silver: $149.99/yr, shown as $12.50/mo. First tier with daily charts and API credits.
- •Gold: $599.99/yr, shown as $50.00/mo. The agency tier.
- •Platinum: $1,439.99/yr, shown as $120.00/mo. Buy it only for multi-year history.
The verdict in one paragraph
Social Blade is excellent at the job it has done since 2008: keeping a public, neutral record of how channels have grown. Nothing else has that history or that trust. What it is not, and never claimed to be, is a research tool. It tells you a channel gained 40,000 subscribers last month. It will not tell you which video did it, whether that video was an outlier against the channel's own baseline, or what you could copy. Pay for it when you need proof or history. Do not pay for it expecting direction.

Every tier, and what it buys
All personal plans are billed annually. The per-month figures below are Social Blade's own framing of those annual prices, not a separate monthly plan.
Free
$05 favorites per platform, top 100 lists, 30 days of table data, future projections, live counts, similar channels
Genuinely useful. If you are checking a channel occasionally or sizing up a creator before a collab, you will never hit the ceiling.
Bronze
$59.99/yr$5.00/moNo ads, 15 favorites per platform, top 250 lists, 1 YouTube report card a month, 30 days of table data
Mostly an ad-removal tier. The data ceiling is the same 30 days as Free, so you are paying for cleanliness and one report card.
Silver
$149.99/yr$12.50/moMost popular25 favorites, top 500 lists, 10 report cards a month, 60 days of table data, weekly and daily charts, 5 Business API credits a month
The first tier that changes what you can do. Daily chart granularity and API credits are the real unlock, not the favorites count.
Gold
$599.99/yr$50.00/mo100 favorites, top 1,000 lists, 50 report cards a month, 180 days of table data, 20 Business API credits a month
An agency tier. You are buying the 180-day window and the report card volume for client work.
Platinum
$1,439.99/yr$120.00/mo500 favorites, top 5,000 lists, 100 report cards a month, 3 or more years of table data, 50 Business API credits a month
Bought for one reason: the multi-year tabular history. If you are not doing longitudinal analysis, this is the wrong tier.

The feature ladder
Read the fourth row first. It is the one that decides whether Bronze is worth anything to you.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Favorites per platform | 5 | 15 | 25 | 100 | 500 |
| Top list length | 100 | 250 | 500 | 1,000 | 5,000 |
| YouTube report cards per month | None | 1 | 10 | 50 | 100 |

| Business API credits per month | None | None | 5 | 20 | 50 |

Five things worth knowing first
Bronze does not raise the data ceiling
This is the detail I would want flagged before paying. Free and Bronze both cap tabular data at 30 days. So the cheapest paid tier buys you no ads, a few more favorites and one report card a month. If more history is why you are upgrading, Silver is the first tier that actually delivers it.
Historical data only starts when Social Blade noticed the channel
Their own documentation is clear about this and it catches people out. A channel created five years ago but added to Social Blade last week has one week of history, not five years. YouTube also caps historical data at three years regardless of tier. Buying Platinum does not retroactively create data that was never captured.
Report cards are YouTube only
Report cards are the headline upgrade across every paid tier, and they are one of the better features here for pitching brands. But they do not exist for TikTok, Twitch, Instagram or Facebook. If you are multi-platform, you are paying tier prices for a YouTube-only benefit.
The estimates are ranges, and always have been
Social Blade's earnings figures are estimates built from public data, presented as wide ranges. That is honest of them, but it means you cannot treat the numbers as revenue. Anyone quoting a Social Blade earnings figure as fact is misreading the product.
It answers what happened, never what to do
Social Blade is a record. It tells you a channel gained 40,000 subscribers last month. It does not tell you which video caused it, whether that video was an outlier for the channel, or what pattern you could borrow. That gap is the entire reason a second tool exists in most creators' stacks.
Which tier you actually need
| Your situation | Tier | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Checking a creator's size before a collab or sponsorship | Free tier | Public stats, projections and rank are all on the free tier. There is no reason to pay for this job. |
| Proving your channel's growth to a brand | Bronze or Silver | The YouTube report card is a clean, third-party PDF. Bronze gives you one a month, Silver gives you ten. |
| Agency tracking a roster of client channels | Gold | 180 days of table data, 50 report cards and 20 API credits a month is built for exactly this. |
| Multi-year trend analysis on a niche | Platinum | The 3+ year tabular window is the only reason to pay $1,439.99 a year, and it is a real one. |
| Deciding what your next video should be | Wrong tool | Social Blade records outcomes. It has no view of which videos outperformed their channel baseline or why. |
The Gap
What Social Blade cannot tell you
Every number on Social Blade is a channel-level number. Subscribers, total views, rank, projections. That is the right shape for answering how big is this channel. It is the wrong shape for answering why did that channel grow, because growth almost always traces back to a handful of individual videos that outperformed everything else on that channel.
That video-level view is what outlier research gives you, and it is what OutlierKit (the tool I build) is built around. It starts at $29 a month, includes outlier detection on every tier, and has a free trial with 10 credits so you can look at the data before deciding. Plenty of people keep Social Blade's free tier alongside it, because the two answer different questions.

Social Blade FAQ
Is Social Blade free?+
Yes, there is a real free tier and it covers most casual use. You get 5 favorites per platform, top 100 lists, 30 days of tabular data, future projections, live counts and similar channels. Paid tiers start at Bronze, $59.99 a year, which Social Blade presents as $5.00 a month.
How much does Social Blade cost?+
Four personal tiers, all billed annually. Bronze is $59.99 a year, shown as $5.00 a month. Silver is $149.99 a year, shown as $12.50 a month. Gold is $599.99 a year, shown as $50.00 a month. Platinum is $1,439.99 a year, shown as $120.00 a month. Social Blade lists annual savings of 17 percent on Bronze, Silver and Gold, and 20 percent on Platinum. Verified on socialblade.com on August 6, 2026.
Is Social Blade premium worth it?+
For most creators, no. The free tier answers the question people usually come with. Paying makes sense in three specific cases: you want report cards to show brands, you need daily chart granularity, or you need more than 30 days of tabular history. Note that Bronze does not raise the 30-day data cap, so Silver is the first tier that genuinely extends your history.
How accurate is Social Blade?+
Subscriber and view counts come from public platform data and are accurate to what the platform reports. Earnings figures are estimates presented as wide ranges, built from public signals rather than actual revenue. Treat the counts as reliable and the money as an indication only.
Why does Social Blade show no history for a channel?+
Because their data starts on the day the channel was added to their system, not the day it was created. A five-year-old channel added last week shows one week of data. YouTube also limits historical data to a maximum of three years, so even Platinum cannot go further back than that on YouTube.
What is a Social Blade report card?+
A downloadable PDF summarising a channel's performance, similar in spirit to a school report. Creators use them to pitch brands, and agencies send them to clients monthly. They are YouTube only. Bronze includes one a month, Silver ten, Gold fifty and Platinum one hundred.
Does Social Blade have an API?+
Yes, the Social Blade Business API is a separate product with its own credit pricing. Personal subscriptions bundle some credits from Silver upward: 5 a month on Silver, 20 on Gold and 50 on Platinum. Those bundled credits are spent before any you buy separately and do not roll over.
What is the best Social Blade alternative?+
It depends on which half of the job you need. For public stats on someone else's channel, ViewStats is the closest like-for-like. For working out what to publish next, you want outlier research rather than a stats archive, which is a different category of tool entirely.
Channel stats tell you what happened. Outliers tell you why.
OutlierKit finds the videos beating their channel baseline in your niche, from $29/mo, with a free trial of 10 credits.
