OutlierKit Resources publishes guides, tutorials, reviews, and case studies about YouTube growth, competitor analysis, and content strategy. We aim for every article to be useful, honest, and grounded in real data. This page describes how we research, review, and update what we publish.
Who writes for us
Most articles are written by Aditi, the founder of OutlierKit, with input from the rest of the team. Every article has a named author and a publish date. If an article was substantially updated after publication, we note the update date.
How we research
- We use first-party data from the OutlierKit platform whenever possible — actual YouTube channel data, outlier scores, sponsor patterns, and audience signals.
- When we reference external sources (YouTube's own documentation, industry reports, third-party tools), we link to the primary source rather than secondary summaries.
- Comparative claims about other tools are based on hands-on testing of those tools' public features at the time of writing.
How we review
Before publishing, every article is reviewed for accuracy, clarity, and whether the recommendations actually work in practice. Tutorials are written by people who use the workflow themselves. Reviews of other tools are written only after hands-on use.
How we update
YouTube changes fast, and tools change with it. We review evergreen guides at least once a year and update them when underlying facts change (e.g. a tool we benchmarked ships a new feature, YouTube changes a policy, an algorithm pattern shifts). Substantive updates are dated.
Conflicts of interest
OutlierKit Resources is published by OutlierKit, a paid YouTube competitive intelligence tool. When we recommend OutlierKit, we say so plainly. When other tools do a job better, we say that too. We do not accept payment to publish reviews or to influence rankings.
Corrections and feedback
