YouTube intelligence for personal brands: know what your audience already watches before you film

Experts publish what they know in the order they know it, and the channel average never moves. OutlierKit shows which topics in your field are beating channel averages right now, at your size, so every video is tested against demand before you press record.

What is YouTube intelligence for personal brands?

YouTube intelligence for personal brands means using public YouTube data to decide what an expert should film next. It answers three questions: which topics in my field are beating channel averages right now, which channel my size is doing it and how, and which title pattern carries those videos. The answers replace the syllabus-order publishing that stalls most expert channels.

It is demand-first without becoming a full-time YouTuber. One research pass a month, one series that compounds, and titles copied from patterns that already work. The expertise stays yours; the packaging comes from the data.

The syllabus problem

An expert's first ten videos usually follow the order the expert learned the subject. Video one is the fundamentals, video seven is the interesting edge case. YouTube does not care about the order, so video seven gets 3% of video one's views and the channel average never rises. Nothing was tested against demand first.

The fix is not more volume. It is a filter: only topics with proven demand, in a title shape proven at your channel size, in a series a viewer can follow. That filter is what OutlierKit provides.

OutlierKit turns a month of guessing into one afternoon of evidence.

How personal brands use OutlierKit

Three workflows, from finding the breakout topic to writing the title.

BREAKOUT TOPICS

Find what your field is watching right now

  • Search your expertise and see every video ranked by how far it beat its channel average
  • Keep the topics above five times normal; those have demand and thin answers
  • Note the exact words in each winning title, because those are your keyword list
  • Refresh monthly so the next filming day starts from current demand

THE RIGHT BENCHMARK

See how a channel your size beats its average

  • Filter the winners to channels near your subscriber count
  • See their format mix, cadence and reach ratio, which is average views as a share of subscribers
  • Spot the series they built and how many episodes it took to compound
  • Compare your own channel on the same scale, not against the field's biggest name

TITLES FROM PATTERNS

Write titles from the pattern, not from scratch

  • Group the winning titles by shape: the number, the question, the constraint, the mistake
  • Swap only the nouns so the pattern keeps its pull
  • Confirm the phrase is searched before you film it
  • Let Claude draft ten titles from your outlier list through the connector

Do this yourself in Claude

Paste this prompt into Claude with the OutlierKit connector switched on. Replace everything in square brackets with your own niche, channel, or topic. Claude calls OutlierKit for you and writes back the answer.

Prompt

I am a [profession, e.g. leadership coach] and my channel has [subscriber count] subscribers. Use OutlierKit to find videos from the last 90 days about [my expertise] that beat their channel average by 5x or more, on channels between [half my size] and [three times my size] subscribers. Group them by title pattern, tell me which two patterns repeat, and write 10 titles for my channel in those patterns. Then suggest one 4-episode series from the list that a viewer would follow.

Frequently asked questions

How often does a personal brand need to do this research?
Once a month is enough. One research pass produces eight to ten titles with demand behind them, which is a month of uploads at two a week. Refresh before the next filming day so the topics reflect current demand.
Should I benchmark against the biggest name in my field?
No. A 2 million subscriber channel's outlier says little about what a 3,000 subscriber channel can copy. Filter to channels near your size and look for the pattern that repeats three times. That is the benchmark you can act on.
Does this replace my LinkedIn or newsletter strategy?
No. It tells you which of the things you already talk about deserve a video, because YouTube demand for them is proven. Most experts use the outlier list to pick video topics and keep publishing everywhere else as before.
What if my expertise is narrow?
Narrow is an advantage on YouTube. Search the outcome your audience wants rather than your job title, and filter to small channels. Narrow fields usually have strong demand and weak answers, which is exactly where a new channel ranks.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. No credit card required.
