TubeLab Pricing: Pay Yearly or Pay Double
TubeLab has two plans and one striking detail: paying annually cuts Pro from $29 a month to $14.90, and the credits you get across the year are identical. That is not a discount, it is a different product.
The short answer
TubeLab pricing at a glance
- •Pro, monthly: $29/month, 300 credits a month.
- •Pro, yearly: $14.90/month, 3,600 credits for the year. TubeLab advertises this as a $169 saving.
- •Team, monthly: $100/month, 1,200 credits a month, up to 10 members.
- •Team, yearly: $80/month, 14,400 credits for the year.
- •Free trial: none, by design.
Quick answer: what TubeLab costs
Two plans, each with monthly or yearly billing. Pro is $29 a month billed monthly, or $14.90 a month billed yearly. Team is $100 a month billed monthly, or $80 a month billed yearly, and supports up to 10 members. Every feature is on Pro, so the Team upgrade buys seats and credits rather than capability.
The pricing decision here is not which plan, it is which billing cycle. Monthly Pro gives you 300 credits a month, which is 3,600 across a year. Annual Pro gives you 3,600 credits for the year at roughly half the total cost. Unless you genuinely need the option to cancel after 30 days, the annual plan is the obvious choice.

The two plans
Pro
Everything is on this tier$29/month, 300 credits a month
$14.90/month billed yearly, 3,600 credits for the year
TubeLab describes this as being for solo creators publishing weekly. It includes the whole product: Niche Finder, niche reports, trend reports, Outliers Finder, trending formats, rank tracker, Claude integration and API access.
Everything is on this tier. The upgrade to Team is about seats and credit volume, not features.
Team
$100/month, 1,200 credits a month
$80/month billed yearly, 14,400 credits for the year
Everything in Pro, plus a team of up to 10 members. Aimed at established creators and agencies running research across several channels.
At 10 members, that is $8 to $10 per person per month. Reasonable for an agency, overkill for a duo.
What a credit actually buys
TubeLab publishes its credit costs, which is more transparent than most tools in this category. These are the numbers to price your workflow against before you pick a plan.
| Action | Credits |
|---|---|
| Idea generation | 1 |
| Trend report generation | 25 |
| API outliers request | 2 |
| API channels request | 5 |
| API niche scan, fast | 50 |
| API niche scan, standard | 100 |
| API general request | Free |
Run one example. On monthly Pro you have 300 credits. Twelve trend reports at 25 credits each uses all of them. Three standard API niche scans at 100 credits each does the same. TubeLab also states a credit costs around $0.10 outside a plan, so 300 credits has a list value near $30, which is why the $29 monthly plan looks like it does and why the annual plan is such an outlier.
Five things the pricing page does not spell out
The annual discount is unusually aggressive, and it is about credits
Pro drops from $29 to $14.90 a month if you pay yearly, which TubeLab advertises as a $169 saving. But look at the credits rather than the dollars. Monthly Pro gives you 300 credits a month, so 3,600 across a year. Annual Pro gives you 3,600 credits for the year up front. Same total credits, roughly half the price. The catch is that annual credits are a yearly pool, so a heavy month can eat into the rest of your year.
There is no free trial, and the reason is honest
TubeLab's FAQ says there is no free trial for the Niche Finder, because otherwise all the niches would get saturated. That is a candid answer and it tells you something real about the product: the value is in surfacing niches before everyone else does, and free access would erode that. It also means you cannot test before paying.
Trend reports cost 25 credits each
This is the number that decides whether a plan fits. Idea generation costs 1 credit, but a trend report costs 25. On monthly Pro with 300 credits, that is 12 trend reports a month if you do nothing else. Work out how many reports your process needs before you pick a billing cycle.
API niche scans are the most expensive action by far
A fast niche scan through the API costs 50 credits and a standard one costs 100. On monthly Pro that is three standard scans a month. Anyone planning to automate research through the API should price on the annual plan or the Team tier, because the monthly credit pool disappears quickly.
It is an independent product
TubeLab states it was built by Antonio Santos, a solo developer. That is not a criticism, and independent tools often ship faster and price better than funded ones. It is context worth having when you are weighing support expectations and long-term stability against a venture-backed competitor.
Which plan you need
| Your situation | Plan | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Solo creator doing niche research monthly | Annual Pro | $14.90 a month for 3,600 credits a year is the best value on this pricing page by a wide margin. |
| You want to try before committing | Not possible | There is no free trial by design. Monthly Pro at $29 is the cheapest way to look inside. |
| Automating research through an API or n8n | Annual Pro at minimum | Niche scans cost 50 to 100 credits each. A 300-credit monthly pool will not survive real automation. |
| Agency with several people doing research | Team | Up to 10 members and 14,400 credits a year on annual billing. Per-person cost lands around $8 to $10 a month. |
| You need rank tracking as well as research | Good fit | The rank tracker is bundled into Pro rather than sold separately, which is unusual at this price. |
In Context
Where TubeLab sits against the alternatives
On price, annual TubeLab Pro at $14.90 a month is one of the cheapest serious niche finders available, and bundling a rank tracker and API access at that price is genuinely unusual. The trade-offs are the missing free trial and the credit ceiling, which binds fast if you automate.
OutlierKit (the tool I build) starts at $29 a month and does include a free trial with 10 credits and no card, which is the main practical difference if you want to see the data before paying. Both tools do niche and outlier research, so the honest comparison is about data depth and workflow rather than one being better. I have written that out properly in TubeLab vs OutlierKit.
If you are weighing TubeLab against the other faceless-channel niche finders, our TubeLab review and alternatives covers the wider field, and NexLev pricing is the closest direct comparison.
TubeLab pricing FAQ
How much does TubeLab cost?+
TubeLab has two plans. Pro is $29 per month billed monthly with 300 credits a month, or $14.90 per month billed yearly with 3,600 credits for the year. Team is $100 per month billed monthly with 1,200 credits a month, or $80 per month billed yearly with 14,400 credits for the year. TubeLab advertises a $169 saving on annual Pro. Verified on tubelab.net/pricing on August 6, 2026.
Does TubeLab have a free trial?+
No. TubeLab's FAQ answers this directly: there is no free trial for the Niche Finder, because otherwise all the niches would get saturated. The cheapest way to evaluate it is one month of Pro at $29.
How do TubeLab credits work?+
Credits meter the expensive actions. Idea generation costs 1 credit, a trend report costs 25, an API outliers request costs 2, an API channels request costs 5, a fast API niche scan costs 50 and a standard one costs 100. General API requests are free. TubeLab says a credit costs around $0.10 if bought outside a plan, so your subscription is effectively buying credits at a discount.
Is TubeLab annual billing worth it?+
For most people, yes, and by a large margin. Annual Pro is $14.90 a month against $29 monthly, and the credit total across a year is the same 3,600 either way. The trade-off is that annual credits come as one yearly pool rather than a monthly reset, so a heavy month borrows from later ones.
What is included in TubeLab Pro?+
The whole product: Niche Finder, niche reports, trend reports, Outliers Finder, trending formats, rank tracker, Claude integration through their YouTube Data MCP, and API access. Team adds up to 10 members and more credits, but no extra features.
What is the difference between TubeLab Pro and Team?+
Seats and credits, not features. Pro is a single user with 300 credits a month or 3,600 a year. Team supports up to 10 members with 1,200 credits a month or 14,400 a year. If you are working alone, Pro gives you everything.
Does TubeLab have an API?+
Yes, and it is included on Pro rather than gated to a higher tier. Requests are metered in credits, and TubeLab documents an n8n integration for automation. Note that niche scans are the expensive call at 50 to 100 credits each.
Who makes TubeLab?+
TubeLab states it was built by Antonio Santos, a Portuguese software developer and creator. It is an independent product rather than a venture-backed platform.
